About the Role
We are seeking a skilled Electrical Technician to maintain, troubleshoot, and support electrical systems across Ducab plants. The role ensures safe, efficient, and reliable operations while contributing to preventive maintenance, breakdown recovery, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Implement approved Standard Operating Procedures and maintenance processes
- Maintain tools, safety gear, and equipment in safe, working condition
- Execute electrical and electronic maintenance jobs within assigned time standards
- Follow all HSE policies, safe work practices, and PPE requirements
- Apply 5S principles to maintain a clean and organised work environment
- Perform breakdown and corrective maintenance to restore production quickly
- Analyse electrical faults and recommend preventive actions
- Carry out preventive maintenance and support planned plant shutdowns
- Install electrical equipment for new projects and existing machinery
- Monitor electrical systems and troubleshoot minor issues, escalating complex faults
- Record maintenance activities accurately in the ERP/Asset Management system
- Support contractors during outsourced electrical maintenance activities
Qualifications & Experience
- Secondary School Certificate with vocational certification in Electrical trade
- Strong technical expertise, including PLC drives troubleshooting and programming
- 4–5 years’ electrical maintenance experience in a heavy industrial environment
- ERP/SAP maintenance module experience preferred
