About the Role
We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Technician to perform maintenance, installation, and fabrication tasks across Ducab plants. The role ensures smooth, safe, and reliable operations while supporting preventive and breakdown maintenance, lean initiatives, and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
- Implement approved Standard Operating Procedures and maintenance processes
- Maintain tools, safety gear, and equipment in safe, working condition
- Execute maintenance jobs within assigned time standards and escalate resource needs when required
- Follow all HSE policies, safe work practices, and PPE requirements
- Apply 5S principles to maintain a clean and safe work environment
- Carry out preventive and breakdown maintenance to minimise downtime
- Troubleshoot basic faults and escalate complex issues appropriately
- Install machinery and platforms in new and existing plants
- Update maintenance activities and data in the ERP/Asset Management system
- Support and guide contractors during outsourced maintenance activities
Qualifications & Experience
- Secondary School Certificate with vocational certification in Fitter or Fabrication
- Strong knowledge of pneumatic and hydraulic systems
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in mechanical maintenance within a large manufacturing plant
- ERP (SAP) experience preferred; welding and fabrication skills are an advantage
